Essentials | Asus Zenfone 5Q - A Classy for Classy

I am an IPhone fan ever since but ASUS Zenfone is really a game changer. I am fascinated as to how this company managed to innovate a budget phone to be as premium as the high end ones in the market. This Asus Zenfone 5Q that was launched months ago is without doubt, a classy looking phone. For people who is into classy and who likes taking photos, this phone will fit you perfectly.

Design

The Zenfone 5Q feels premium with the 2.5D glass on both the front and back. The sides are like an aluminum metal, same feeling you can get when you’re holding an iPhone. The device uses a triple slot tray, same with Asus Zenfone 4. This is a plus for people who cannot give up an SD card slot to use another sim card.  It still uses a microUSB port but i am hoping that future mid-range Zenfones would switch to type-c too!

Camera and Audio

Previous Zenfones were launched with wide-angle cameras and this phone also has that feature. Honestly, I am not really a fan of its wide-angle since the shot is not as clear and as good as the normal shot. Yet, the 5Q’s camera will surely be still worth your money. It also has a selfie master app, perfect for selfie addicts out there! ♥

For audio quality, this phone may not be the best but it really does the job if you’re just a casual music lover. You will always have the option to buy a decent earphones and plug it with this phone since it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Performance, Battery and UI

Also, being an owner of an older model of an Asus smartphone, I can say that this one is an upgrade from what I currently use. This phone is more snappy and feels really premium to hold. I could run apps smoothly with this one without being irritated. The 4GB ram is a plus since I can run apps simultaneously and I am amazed by how this phone maintain an average temperature even when using it for an extended period of time.

Battery capacity is at 3,300 mAh, can last a whole day for my usage, wifi on with social media browsing and video playbacks.

UI is pretty simple and icons are well designed but I am still hoping for an upgrade for this current UI. I am into upgrades anyway. ♥

The 5Q is priced at Php 16,995 so if you’re looking for a mid-range phone that is worth your money,  go to the nearest mall and consider trying out this smart phone
