Japan | Kusatsu Onsen

Located few hours away from Tokyo via Shinkansen , resting inside the beautiful prefecture of Gunma is Kusatsu Onsen famous for its hot spring resorts and the Yubatake (湯畑). 

How we get there from Tokyo: 

Via Train

• Purchase JR East Pass (Nagano, Niigata Area)
• Take the  Ueno - (JR吾妻線) - Takasaki (via Naganohara Kusatsuguchi) - (JR Bus) - Kusatsu onsen Route

You can also take the bus with approximately 4.5 hrs travel time. You can check the bus prices and timetable on this link. Keep in mind that some restaurants here does not offer English menu and most are really pricey. 

Kusatsu KOTODAMA

Kusatsu Kotodama is where we stayed and a local grocery is located nearby where you can purchase food that you can cook in the guesthouse :)
