Yufuin 湯布院町 - Just 40 minutes away from Oita , Yufuin is a must-go destination one can enjoy. The alleyways are so picturesque and the peak of Mount Yufu peeps while you explore each area. If you're looking for a rural local vibe, Yufuin has some local shops with a variety of food stalls, omiyage, anime items, and a lot more. It also has some handmade artisan shops. nice cafes that sell some sweet Japanese delicacies! Some adorable decorations will come along the way!
On your way to Yufuin, you can drop by some areas that will calm your mind as you check out the views of Mt. Yufu.
We went to Yufuin for a day trip tour and just randomly stroll around the shopping street located at Yunotsubo Street that connects Kinrin Lake to Yufuin Station. Totoro shop is also located around this area you will surely enjoy it if you are a Ghibli fan.
Yufuin is a must-visit if you are visiting Oita and a day is enough to explore the shopping area and the lake. Maybe add another day if you wanted to explore more local cafes and restaurants! Happy Travels!
